God is eXtraordinary

 God is eXtraordinary !!!

You can see how God is extraordinary through the whole Bible! First God made this extraordinary world and all that is in it! the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and the land, and God made you and me! And all that in just 6 days! Then the first people sinned and later God’s people were enslaved in Egypt God led them out of Egypt through 10 miraculous plagues first, water into blood, lots of frogs, lice, flies, livestock disease, boils, hail, locusts, darkness, and then the death of all the firstborn in Egypt, except for the people who put lambs’ blood on their door post as God said.

Then God led his people through the desert with many miracles like food [Manna - which means what is it] and then God repeatedly saved his people from their enemies time and time again, even when they disobeyed or didn’t listen to him, like when God helped David who was 17 years old, defeat a giant named Goliath who was one of their enemies called the Philistines. how extraordinary!

And Then God turned water into wine in very little time at a wedding in Canaan. And then Jesus healed a man who could not walk! and a man who could not hear and speak. And took demons away from a girl called Mary Magdalen; who would later become an apostle. And raised one of his relatives Lazarus from the dead! And after the Pharisees crucified Jesus, he rose from the dead himself!

And many more! And God will come again soon. Isn't all this extraordinary? yes!

Now let me tell you a true story, the story of the man who turned his life around, the story of Paul, at first Paul’s name was Saul [that was his Hebrew name] and he was a Pharisee and he persecuted followers of Jesus! He got permission from the high priest to go to Damascus and pursue the followers of Jesus, but then on his way, he saw a bright light and Jesus talked to him!

Acts 9:4-8

He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him,

“Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”

“Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked.

“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied.

“Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told

what you must do.”

The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone.

Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes, he could see nothing. So, they led him by the hand into Damascus.

Then Saul opened his eyes and noticed that he had become blind! After that, the soldiers who heard the voice but didn’t see anything led him to Damascus, and Saul did not eat or drink anything for 3 days, then God told a man named Ananias, to go to Saul and heal him, but Ananias was afraid as Saul was a persecutor of the followers of Jesus. But God said that he had made Saul a vessel to the Gentiles and that he would stand before kings and princes, so Ananias went. And when he healed Saul something like fish scales fell from his eyes, and Saul was baptized by Ananias. Saul was a vessel for the Gentiles and would stand before kings and princes just like God Said, and would go on to do extraordinary things for God. After this Saul changed his name from Saul to Paul [Paul was his Roman name]

Acts 9:11-12 NIV [New International Version]

God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.

God will help us do extraordinary things through him like God did extraordinary things through Paul or Moses and Joshua.

Summary time

God is extraordinary and throughout the Bible, you can see a lot of true stories that God is extraordinary, like Jesus turning water into wine. Or God making the world, or David and Goliath. And God can do extraordinary things through you, like Paul. So, God is extraordinary and can do extraordinary things through you. Bye, see you soon.

THE END.
